As photographers we rely heavily on our eyes and intuition. Our eyes to see that one moment a bear brings her cubs to the river to eat Kokanee Salmon. And our intuition telling us to make that right turn down a dirt road, resulting in a band of wild horses.

 Since we are a family run business, the three of us are usually on location together. Crazy as it may sound, we will all see something different in the same area. We take turns photographing scenery or an object which usually turns into a competition. We will bicker over who’s photo is better, who’s photo is in focus, even ask why did you take it like that? Why? Because it’s all in the eyes of the beholder. No matter what, one of us will come out of that competition with the best photo and it will be printed to sell.  

 How do we know that taking that right turn will lead us to the most beautiful scene? Intuition. We get that gut feeling something really exciting is about to happen or appear. Maybe it’s driving up to a band of wild horses and seeing a brand new foal. Or climbing a snow bank and seeing this beautiful ray of sunlight peaking through the snow covered pine trees. Listening to that intuition of ours has lead us to many beautiful photos, many of which you are able to see on this very website. 

 Use your eyes to show others just how beautiful the world really is. Let them see those tiny details, sometimes there is a photo within a photo.  Run with that gut feeling, it can take you on a grand adventure. And if you let your eyes and intuition work together,  your end result will unveil greatness.
